Colorado Spring

Spring is picking up in Fort Collins, its very nice out there. Bright, Sunny, not so hot; very pleasent. It is inviting to go out and sit outside with Arpita.

Every year this cycke of spring and fall makes me think about the wonders of nature. Spring means a new life to everything.

The man who rewrote the supply chain concept-Michael Dell

Its a remarkable story which really made me think a lot. Michael Dell came up with an invovating idea of selling directly to customers and thus redefining the supply chain concept. Its very hard business plan to reproduce and I guess this was Dell's USP when it started its business, in the area where there were established players like IBM, HP, Compaq.
Its truly amazing story as how he broke all the 'normal routes' of selling computers. Also, Dell has started expanding in to other markets like, Laptop, Printer, Audio etc. Dell can be a true case study and inspiring story for those who wants to get in to market which already Exists. Message is simple, have an USP.

Cavs end playoff drought with a flourish

Cleveland Cavaliers are my favorite team in NBA and its good to know that they got playoff spot for 2006 season, that too after such a long time. (Cav's last playoff spot was in 98!). This team has famous LeBron, but he was missing the much required support crew last season.

I think they are expected to play with Washington Wizards in the first round of playoffs, and that would be an interesting game to watch.

GM Shapiro Rebuilds Indians With a Plan

This is an amaging sports-business story of Cleveland Indians Baseball team. Shapiro is a great guy and he dismantled and buit Indians from scratch. The deals he made, the trades he made, the effort he put in buidling the bullpen; clearly indicates how commited this guy is for Indian's success. Indians are strong contenders for playoffs for this season.
